New Year ~ New Job ~ New Resolutions ~ New Image ~ New Cheeky???
Talking about 'NEW', what's NEW in me or in this Golden Pig year? People will have set a new resolutions for new year 2007, new image for themselve, new car, new gadgets, new friends, hairstyle, new house, and so on ..... Generally must have something new in a brand new year. As for me, you cannot catogeries myself 'Kiasu' (Scare to lost) because i also have something New, which is my new job. Employers or people will think that why in btw two years, i have being changing of job? Of course I could stayed in one company and very loyal to it, but my previous jobs skrew me big time.
Supposingly i decided to diversitify from Engineering grat to do marketing and sales industries, this is a very tough choice/decission make. For those who dunno my history background, let me briefly go thru it. I'm engineering grad student year 2004, explosure in the working society is not mature yet. Started proper job at Nottingham,UK as a data technician for one year before. (Proper job = first job that have tax deduction and not those part-time or vacation job) Then came back to Msia 'April 2005 and started working in Furniture industries where working for one of my dad friends. Here's the LOOP of my life, diversity of my eduction profession. Then beginning of year 2006 March, i move on to another company who given more responsibility and job scope. But turn out negatively, the company has dragged the operation of business from month to month where i almost lost myself and spirits of working. (Losing myself where no aim, no goals, no achievement and etc, basically you can see a young and energitic boy losing he confidence) The experiences is very hard to elaborate with words, to those some of my close friends; they knew what i have being thru. In business terms, considered a very bad investment. After a long long falls, gathered nor saved enough of energies to stand up, i finally decided not to lost my professionalism in engineering. Lucky enough i found this company who willing to give me an opportunity to start my new path new careers in engineering industries after tons of inteviews i being thru.
Yesterday (16.1.2007) my new company finally got me a new laptop, althought it's AMD 'Sempron' processor. It's still a good products from a very well known brand, everyday this brand almost advertised in newspaper. Thanks for my company, make it a bit more commerciallise i should promote my company 'SONATEST (ASEANA) Ltd' is a UK base company, but our office here in Malaysia represent the SONATEST Asean region. Usually when you started to joined a new company, your role play in that company it is a 'small little potato' blur blur! Especially me, where i have to start from zero. Another issue we have to concern is the relationship with your work collegeuos and new environment, evrything is about the adaptation of an individual. Many of my friends will think or say "Por! You sure allright one lah, you can easily mix with people out there" Well, i might not completely disagree with the statement. Somehow, we still human being, definately have this internal feeling of being hesitated to meet or adapt new friends and environments. So far, i have no compliant. But the only disadvantageuos is no 'Long Life' to see. (If you wanted to know what is 'Long Life', do ask me) However, i am with this company only half a month, and my role is Sales Engineer... initially, i will be doing a lot of pre-reading of products, additionally i read some books eg. Nondestructive Inspection and Quality Control for theory and in depth knowledges. I believed after the guidance of my boss, very soon he will ask me to go on my own. That's the full challenge start!!!
Beside my new job, this year i also have updated my image on blog and messengers too. Sort of changing to New image to my cheekysalsaguru. According to the chinese horoscope of Golden Pig year, the overall luck for horse is not bad. Anyhow, it's only started 2007 January, so by the end of the end i only can make the conclusion whether the prediction horoscope is true or not? Last year wasn't a wonderful year for me. More ever alot of problems has structed me making big impact on me and my life too. The effects of those impacts cause loses in term of financials and also career period, some even are not seenable where the consequences will not take effects now. Also according to the chinese calendar year, people who in chinese calendar by the age ending with '9' is a turning point of life. This is some sort of believe that has being carry on from century to decade, believe it or not? It's either up to you!!! (I believe if you do a general search on this topic on www search, you can find more details) My point of view, although this have no saintific proof, but the problems occured to me and i don't have others reasonable answer or solutions to explaint. Therefore if there is no others explaination, i will believe the saying of the '9' turning point of life.
